KINUITO Corporation announces that the recycled material usage rate across all products reached 42% in fiscal year 2024. We have expanded from 18% in fiscal year 2021 to 2.3 times over three years, and are progressing smoothly toward achieving 70% in fiscal year 2027.

Active Utilization of Recycled Materials
- Recycled polyester from PET bottles: Usage rate 38% (up 12 points YoY)
- Recycled fibers from collected garments: Usage rate 28% (up 8 points YoY)
- Recycled nylon (including ocean plastic-derived): Usage rate 15% (up 5 points YoY)
- Organic cotton: Usage rate 19% (up 3 points YoY)
Advanced Implementation in Private Brand “KINUITO DAILY”
In the 2024 Autumn/Winter Collection, recycled materials were adopted in 68% of all items. We have completed the transition to 100% recycled polyester especially for our popular basic T-shirt and hoodie lines. Quality and comfort have been achieved at levels equal to or better than conventional products.
Collaboration Across the Entire Supply Chain
We are working with 15 material manufacturers and 8 dyeing and processing partners to ensure stable procurement and quality improvement of recycled materials. We have optimized our proprietary “SUMI dyeing” technology for recycled fibers, achieving both beautiful color development and resistance to fading.
Environmental Impact Reduction Results
Through the transition to recycled materials, we achieved the following environmental impact reductions in fiscal year 2024:
- CO2 emissions: Approximately 1,850 tons reduced annually (equivalent to absorption by approximately 130,000 cedar trees)
- Water usage: Approximately 420,000 m³ reduced annually (equivalent to approximately 840 25-meter pools)
- Petroleum-derived raw materials: Approximately 620 tons reduced annually

Fiscal Year 2025 Target: 52% Recycled Material Usage Rate
- Achieve 75% for all private brand products
- Achieve 45% for OEM/ODM products
